A Snapshot of Some of Our Recent Successes:

  • Successfully defended a doctor charged with arson murder whereby he was accused of burning down his building and causing the death of a person in the building. Mr. Schwartz obtained an acquittal on all counts after a Five week trial covered by the major newspapers in the New York area.
  • Successfully defended a high school student accused of several sex crimes. # Defended a business owner accused of sexual assault against an employee. Case settled in the middle of trial for a minimal amount of money.
  • Successfully defended an internet camera store accused of stealing trade secrets from a competitor.
  • Successfully drafted and argued an appeal in the Appellate Division, 2nd Dept. a murder case in which the defendant was accused of stabbing a rival to death under the boardwalk in Brighton Beach.
  • Successfully obtained the liberty for a defendant who plead guilty to Robbery and did not show up for sentencing. Mr. Schwartz was able to set aside the plea because the judge did not follow the proper procedure during the plea.
  • Obtained a dismissal for the leading suspended license offender in Richmond County based on the fact that it was an unconstitutional and illegal stop. Mr. Schwartz was able to successfully argue that the police did not have reasonable suspicion to stop the vehicle and there for the suspensions were dismissed. The D.A and the Judge promised our client maximum jail time prior to the technical dismissal.
  • Positive plea agreements on several cases involving Assault, Guns, DWI, Drugs and Sex Crimes.
  • Successfully Tried a Will contest based on the theory that the will was forged.
  • Obtained a dismissal for a prominent member of the Orthodox Jewish community accused of Sexual Assault. A plea was not an option because his reputation in the community would be tarnished forever. Our client would only accept a complete dismissal and that is what we were able to obtain for him.
  • Successfully Defended a woman wrongfully accused of abusing her son. We obtained a dismissal on the criminal charges. The New York City Department of Children’s services took her son away for nine months until we were able to prove that someone else caused the burns on his hand.
  • One of the defense lawyers who defended a cop accused of killing another member of the radical Irish community.
  • We saved a college student who was facing 25 years in jail for distributing Ecstasy. We successfully negotiated and fought for a plea whereby the Defendant performed community service.
  • Defended a man accused of operating an illegal money transferring business that was accused of sending millions of dollars over seas.
  • Obtained a dismissal for a wholesaler accused of robbing and shaking down his debtors.
  • Defended an employer accused of sexual abuse. Jury acquitted on every count except for Harassment, which is a violation.
  • Obtained a dismissal for a fish wholesaler accused of illegally possessing a gun.
  • Obtained a dismissal for a kid who was accused of attacking a woman in a bar. er.
  • Successfully brought an action against a major retail chain for discriminating against obese customers. Received an undisclosed settlement.
  • Successfully brought an action against a major retailer for sexual assault. Got an undisclosed settlement.
  • Challenged the manufacturers of endoscopes and fought to change the standard of care in the reprocessing of endoscopes from disinfection to complete sterilization. Fought for the 270,000 Americans that are being infected every year.
  • Successful representation of the Association of Wholesale Tobacco Distributors in the fight against illegal cigarette sales, bootlegging, counterfeiting and illegal internet sales. Assisted in the drafting of legislation that will allow the City and State of New York to collect 2 Billion Dollars in uncollected cigarette revenue.
  • Obtained no jail time for a woman accused of bilking the government out of hundreds of thousands of dollars from food stamps fraud.
  • Obtained a dismissal for an artist wrongfully accused of shoplifting in a racially motivated accusation.
  • Defended stock brokers in a scam in which they were accused of paying others to take their brokerage exams.
  • Successfully prosecuted and got a top count conviction in which a female middle aged business woman was charged with vehicular assault and drunk driving in a racially charged trial.
